Covenant Hospice Seeks Volunteers For Garden Gala Event

Covenant Hospice will host the 5th Annual Garden Gala from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at the Agricultural Center, located at 2741 Penn Avenue, in Marianna.

Marianna, FL - The Garden Gala Committee is currently seeking volunteers to help plan, prepare and present the event.  Volunteers are needed for all areas of the event.  The Garden Gala committee will be holding its monthly meeting at Noon Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Covenant Hospice branch, located at 4440 Lafayette St., Suite C and light refreshments will be provided.

“The Garden Gala is our signature fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from the gala will help further the mission of Covenant Hospice in Calhoun, Jackson, Holmes and Washington Counties,” said Jennifer Griffin, Development Manager for Covenant Hospice. Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive compassionate service to patients and their loved ones during times of life limiting illnesses, based on need, regardless of ability to pay.

The Garden Gala is critical to furthering Covenant’s mission in the Marianna service area. “Proceeds from the Garden Gala help off set the $1.6 million of indigent care; along with contributing to the programs not reimbursed by Medicare, such as Bereavement & Social Services, Chaplain Services, Children Support Services and Volunteer Programs,” said Griffin.
