School Board Hires Law Firm In Medina Disciplinary Action Case
Along with other school board action.

At the June 29th meeting of the Washington County School Board, board members approved hiring the law firm of Messer, Caparello & Self, P.A. of Tallahassee to represent the school board in a disciplinary case involving former school employee Gloria Medina.
Messer will be represented by Attorney James Dean at an hourly rate of $150.00.
School Attorney Gerald Holley will also be involved in the matter.
Other school board action items included:
* Agreed to pay $ 16,165.00 to Perfection Architectural Systems for a new canopy over the handicapped parking area at Vernon Elementary School.
* Hired Patricia Collins as the Director of Administrative Services. Currently this work was done by former Deputy Superintendent Jayne Peel, who recently retired.
* Hired Steven Griffin as the new Principal at Chipley High. Griffin was a Principal at several Holmes
County Schools as well as Holmes County Superintendent prior to becoming Assistant Principal in
Washington County.
* Hired Peggy Adams as Principal at Vernon Elementary school replacing Kathy Cadwell who has retired.
* Hired Felicia McEntyre as Interpreter for the Summer program at Roulhac Middle School.
* Approved K12 Company as the Virtual School provider for one year.
* Accepted the resignation of Will Holley, CHS coach.
